I bring you the new honda CB 1100. I know this is not exactly new even because this motorcycle is older than this channel. it was presented in 2010 as a modern spiritual successor to the original cb750 theoretically it had everything to be a very successful neoclassic motorcycle, unfortunately.
It was always far from that but from now on I hope things may change a bit because I finally found a magnificent project based on the CB 1100 a perfect example of what this honda should have been right from the start welcome to racer tv.
I am going to begin by being very honest with you I never thought that a honda CB 1100 could look so good as this one I am sure a complex modification can perform miracles on some motorcycles this is what I always thought about this honda in other words.
I always believed the CB 1100 would need a lot of work just to get the right cafe racer stance but this beautiful project proves that I was wrong and in this particular case. I am very glad for finding that out because this is much simpler than I ever imagined this lovely machine was built in Milan by the team of south garage motor company probably one of the biggest Italian custom builders and that is most likely the main cause for being selected to create this machine it was baptized hedo.
It was commissioned by honda motor company to show the potential of the CB 1100 for customization if this was their main goal then I have to recognize it. They really achieved it if you pay attention to this transition you will see that the modifications are really simple and this is what impresses me the most on this project with the exception of the seat the rear subframe and the clip-on almost everything is stock from the factory as you can see this honda became apparently smaller and way lighter but there is one small modification that makes a huge difference these coco tires are definitely the choice that changes everything and believe it or not.
They still have 18 inches which is the same wheel diameter as the 2016 honda CB 1100 I know the rims look smaller but I can guarantee. you it is just an illusion like I said considering the small number of modifications it is a very impressive project getting back to this video's introduction this honda had everything to be a very successful neoclassic motorcycle the big question is why it never reached that point what is wrong with this CB 1100 personally.
I think there are several things that have kept this model away from success first I think it was launched too early when the neoclassical market was still practically at the beginning second the engine may be too big and powerful for most potential buyers besides making it an expensive motorcycle. I know the BMW r9t and the triumph Thruxton has a similar power and price range but these brands have a certain exclusivity level.
Honda doesn't have and finally, I believe the main feature that keeps customers away from this honda is the fuel tank. It is not bad but it's not lovely either I think most honda CB fans were expecting something nearest to the 70s.
